Craters in adventure map are passable

The craters in adventure view are passable and they should not be,

  1. What exactly did you do to trigger it?

Move the over over a crater in adventure map.

A screenshot or video would be fantastic.


Looks like it’s specific to a particular map. On my test map all craters’ passability masks look just like in SoD. Which map was it?


Island of Fire.

It’s the same in the original game so HeroWO just takes what is specified in the map file.

oh im sorry, i really had a mandela effect haha. I dont have the OG installed and im working on my work laptop. really sorry about this. I was so sure that the object in not passable.

And what kind of object is this, if you open the map in the editor? It looks very strange.

Look near (5;50) in Island of Fire.

It may look strange but it’s actually possible – HoMM 3 copies info on passability from OBJECTS.TXT to the map file and it can be changed there. This is what h3objed does; e.g. for a town object:
